As I have already mentioned before I am using dasBlog as my blogging engine and I have hosted on a shared account with GoDaddy.com. But I have till this point been unable to get my email notices to work from dasBlog. I thought it was my installation. But then after posting to the dasBlog forum they pointed me in the direction that it might be that GoDaddy is blocking my smtp port. So I then proceeded to go through their help to find anything which of couse I wasn't able to. Then I turned to Google and typed in "cdo godaddy". The second result down pointed me to here: http://www.patio-de-recreo.com/doug/2005_May/cdo_mail_object.asp. After this life was good again. I love the power of community help. I just wish the companies themselves had this information readily available. Even though you don't know me, thanks Doug for the information.
